Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is an Australian public research university that is located in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland. The university was established in 1989 and then merged with Brisbane College of Advanced Education in 1990. QUT has two campuses in the Brisbane area, which are called Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove. Today, QUT has more than 2,000 academic staff, 37,000 undergraduate students, and 11,000 postgraduate students.
